Best In Beauty: My 7 Favourite Finds This Month

Ok hear me out, some of these are not “finds” of the month. Some of these are skincare favourites since a few months back. But let’s just pretend.

I tried including here a few products I don’t talk about enough. You know when you have so many things you don’t know where to start and you think oh I should talk about this one, and this one, and it never gets done because you’re overwhelmed. No? Can’t relate? Lucky you. To be clear you don’t need so many products for one person but since this is my job, things get out of hand.

October Skincare Favourites

First things first I have added here a collection of different products, face, body, brows, from different categories. I tried to add as much variety as I could and keep it minimal but still ended up with 7 products. Enjoy.

Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Ultra Gentle Peel

Exfoliations is one of my favourite steps in skincare and of course one of my skincare favourites this month are the Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peels. Whenever I want a quick glow this is my go-to. I also like the two-step process of these peels: one sheet to exfoliate and another one to neutralize. It makes the process feel more spa-ish and luxurious-ish.

I have the Alpha Beta Ultra Gentle Peel which uses Lactic Acid and Mandelic Acid. These two are really gentle on the skin compared to Glycolic Acid. you only need to leave them on for 2 minutes and then add the second step that has

I have the Alpha Beta Ultra Gentle Peel which uses Lactic Acid and Mandelic Acid. These two are really gentle on the skin compared to Glycolic Acid. you only need to leave them on for 2 minutes and then add the second step that has Hyaluronic Acid, Colloidal Oatmeal, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, all of which are soothing for the skin. This ensures that the peel is not sensitizing the skin and you’re not over-exfoliating.

Gallinée Prebiotic Face Oil

The newest addition to the gallinée probiotic family is their Prebiotic Face Oil. I am not a fan of oils and only own 4 which I use if I feel like it. At one point in my skincare journey, I stopped liking the feeling of oils on my skin: stuffing and uncomfortable. However, (you were waiting for this one right?) I do enjoy this prebiotic oil and ever since the weather started getting colder, and the central heating is cracking up, and all the moisture from the air and my face is sucked up (add to that the dust from renovations). Every evening I finish my skincare with 4 drops of this and the next morning my skin is looking healthy and moisturised.

The ingredients list of this prebiotic oil is so simple: Squalane, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Jojoba Seed Oil, Tocopherol, Bisabolol, Oat Kernel Oil, Bacillus Ferment, Sunflower Seed Oil. It is very light and doesn’t have any scent to it. I usually give a few minutes to absorb so that I don’t leave an oil slick on my pillow. Plus I really like to think that I’m doing my skin a great service by keeping the microbiome happy and healthy with the prebiotics (food for the healthy bacteria).

Ren AHA Smart Renewal Body Serum

Ok, ok, I know I have already raved about the AHA Smart Renewal Body Serum here but I need to rave about it more. Let me get it out of my system! How can this Body Serum be so good? Each time I use I’m still amazed at how good it smells, how fantastic my skin feels, and how the ingredients are so unique. Please read my previous blog post on body lotions to learn more! It’s in this skincare favourites list for a reason!

107 Everyday Plump Hydro Cream

I have previously talked about their Chaga Jelly Cleanser and I still stand by the opinion that it’s the best cleanser one could wish for. Now let’s talk about the 107 Everyday Plump Hydro Cream.

This is a rich and deeply nourishing moisturiser that I have been reaching for in the evening to combat all the dryness that I have previously mentioned (cold, central heating, dust). It transforms into gel on the skin and absorbs rapidly without any greasy residue. I really love the plush and rich texture it has. Guaranteed moisturised glazed donut finish.

Just like the Chaga Jelly Cleanser, the Everyday Plump Hydro Cream has the famous 107 7 Year aged vinegar ingredient that is rich in vitamins and postbiotics for the skin. it also contains Sunflower Seed Oil, Squalane, Moroheiya Leaf Ferment, and three types of Lactobacillus Ferments. I have never heard of Moroheiya but according to BemusedKorea “Moroheiya Leaf Ferment Filtrate comes from the “royal vegetable” originating from Ancient Egypt. It helps to reduce water loss and increase skin hydration.”

If you’re looking for a rich and nourishing cream for the cold months you can, without hesitation, add the Everyday Plump Hydro Cream to the cart, and click check out!

Thank you Farmer Rice Pure Essential Toner

My very first rice toner after it has been so popular all over the skincare community of Instagram. The Thank you farmer Rice Pure Essential Toner has made me obsessed with rice toners. I can see why rice toners became so popular and why now they’re on my skincare favourites list. It is intensely moisturising and calming and I love the texture of it. I’m already halfway into it because I can’t stop using it every morning and evening.

The Rice Pure Essential Toner has a milky white and thick texture and it can be used as a toner or as an essence. Ingredients include 1% rice extract, niacinamide, Centella Asiatica and a couple of plant extracts. Highly recommend it for the winter as it’s a great extra layer of hydration.

One Thing Niacinamide 10%

I have previously raved about the One Thing Niacinamide 10% and I will continue raving about it. Who needs a niacinamide serum when you have this!

The One Thing Niacinamide 10% is designed to be used together with their other products, added to another serum or moisturiser in your skincare routine, or by itself. I personally love to use this one by itself as an essence. I’m halfway through the bottle already, and I have noticed such an improvement. My skin is more radiant and even-toned. It looks healthier by the day.

GrandeBrow Brow Enhancing Serum

I have been a sceptic when it came to lash or brow serums. Then last year I tried a lash serum and holy mother of cookie dumplings, it worked. My lashes looked like magic. But the prices on these things sting. Especially when it comes to Grande Cosmetics. However, they work, so worth the splurge.

The Grande Brow is designed to enhance the brows only. They warn against using it on the eyelashes because believe I would’ve tried to kill two rabbits in one shot. I have before and after pictures here. It might not look like much but in my opinion, my eyebrows are looking fuller and whenever I style them I find that they look really amazing. A huge improvement in my overplucked eyebrows, in the pursuit of perfectly symmetrical brows. Yes I know, eyebrows are sisters, not twins, but I had a moment of meltdown.
